The Treatment Process

The Cosmetic Dentistry process begins with a Cosmetic Consultation with our experienced Brisbane Cosmetic Dentists discussing your smile presentation and concerns, then indicating appropriate treatment.  Following your consultation, our Cosmetic Dentists will spend time to create a personalised Smile Artistry™ Smile Plan.

Your Smile Artistry™ Smile Plan
To create your personalised Smile Artistry™ Smile Plan our Brisbane Cosmetic Dentists will perform a full smile evaluation. This involves assessing your face, smile, gums, teeth, and any natural variances.  Following this Cosmetic Assessment, you will be presented with your Smile Plan.Your Smile Plan will present treatment options based on Dental health and well-being and then your Cosmetic Concerns.  A healthy mouth is an important basis for Cosmetic Dentistry to be long-lasting and successful.

Typically, the major Cosmetic Dentistry stages for Treatment are then ready to progress when all of your Gum and Tooth Health is stable.  This stage may involve Teeth Whitening, Gum-lifts and then Porcelain Veneers, Porcelain Crowns, Porcelain Bridges, Porcelain Onlays, White Fillings or Dental Implants.

To accurately and precisely fit beautiful, appropriate and natural looking Veneers and Crowns, a Diagnostic Wax-up is performed.  This Diagnostic Wax-up is a full mock-up of the perceived final Cosmetic Result.  You will be able to see this mock-up even before your Porcelain Veneers/Crowns have been started.

The first major appointment for Porcelain Veneers, Crowns, Bridges involves precisely preparing the teeth to allow for sufficient spacing of Porcelain.  A very detailed and accurate impression will be taken.  Temporary Veneers and Crowns will then be fitted using the Diagnostic Wax-up as a guide.  You will be able to go home and try out the new shapes and colour of teeth.  Over the following days we will then make adjustments ensuring the teeth shapes match beautifully and naturally inside your smile.

Your final Porcelain Veneers and Crowns will then be copied from the temporary teeth and ready for fitting two weeks following.

Recovery Times

With any Cosmetic Dentistry Procedure the recovery time is quick and painless. You will experience some mild discomfort and sensitivity around your teeth and gums for about 24-48 hours.
